9 days till Our Hit Parade

OUR HiT PARADE is having not one but two different shows on Dec 16th. If you don’t know what it is, it is a caberet style show at Joe’s Pub  featuring Bridget Everett, Kenny Mellman and Neal Medlyn and every show they have lots of specail guests, like Tracy Bonham, Rufus Wainwright, Alan Cummings, Magnetic Fields etc…performing all todays top hits. It happens in 10 days people and I am counting the minutes.

Monday Night, Nov 16th, I will be doing a short DJ set to get everyone pumped up to see Vaginal Creme Davis. I spin around 9:45 or so. www.santospartyhouse.com/

I will be saying a few words at a reading celebrating the release of the book Girldrive at KGB Bar, 85 E 4th St., NY, NY on Thursday, Oct 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. I hear Michele Wallace and Carolee Schneemann will also be there!!!

NY Art Book Fair starts tonight so if you’re into zines and artist’s books you should check it out.  Wendy Yao of famed LA art hang out Oooga Booga will be releasing  five new zines (from a pinata) Saturday October 3rd, at 2pm in the lobby of PS1, so get your pinata stick ready!!!!

Wednesday, September 30th downtown heroes Neal Medlyn, Kenny Mellman and Bridget Everett will be performing their own twisted versions of today’s top hits with specail celebrity guests. DO NOT MISS THIS!!!! Bridget Everett is an amazing singer who also happens to be one of the funniest people alive. It’s at Joe’s Pub at 9:30 and I can’t wait…..

On Monday September 21 Johanna and I will be on Hannah Neurotica’s radio show talking about zines. I gave a powerpoint presentation at Willie Mae Rock camp for Girls in Brooklyn a couple days ago and  I asked the girls if feminism was considered cool or uncool these days and they were all like “It’s REALLY cool”.
